Family Camp
Foothills Wanderers Orienteering Club is offering a family camp at the Alpine Club in Canmore as part of 2013 Barebones.
Camp will start on Friday, June 7 - 5:00pm. Families settle in to rooms then head downtown Canmore for an urban O family fun event. Saturday will start with a fantastic breakfast followed by a day of orienteering fun at the nordic centre. Saturday evening will be a family style dinner followed by guest presentations dessert and coffee, all Barebones participants will be invited for presentations coffee and dessert. Sunday morning we will have another super breakfast, pack up and head out to orienteer in the Mt. Laurie area. Activities will include a kids string course and a Farsta event.
We have rented the entire facility at the Alpine Club including the Boswell and Bell cabins and the Clubhouse . We will be offering, accommodation, meals, coaching, presentations and race support as part of this family camp.
Family focused orienteering games are all part of the Barebones experience.
